It is also highly nutritious for puppies and mothers alike. ROYAL CANIN® Starter Mousse Mother & Babydog is also enriched with Omega-3 fatty acid (DHA), proven to support brain development and help promote puppies;learning during early training. This formula contains a proven complex including Vitamins C and E to support healthy immune system development. Thanks to a combination of beneficial prebiotics (such as MOS) and highly digestible proteins, ROYAL CANIN® Starter Mousse Mother & Babydog also helps to support a healthy balance of intestinal microbiota (gut flora) for good digestion. ROYAL CANIN® Starter Mousse Mother & Babydog has a smooth consistency that helps with hydration and also makes it particularly suitable for all weaning puppies. In the short span of 8 weeks, your puppies will need a diet that€™s specially adapted to meet their nutritional needs during the next growth phase. At this stage, you can transition them onto an appropriate ROYAL CANIN® puppy diet, tailored to their breed size (X-Small, Mini, Medium, Maxi or Giant). Diets are available both as a dry kibble and wet chunks in gravy.

We do not recommend feeding Starter Mousse to puppies under 3 weeks old.
We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.
